The story follows an ordinary young man who is unusually sensitive to ghosts and supernatural events. One day he met a mysterious girl, Mechako, who lead her to the Kaiki-gumi, an organization dedicated to keeping ghosts and monsters under control to protect humans. Before he knew it, he was pulled into helping rebuild the group. He started to work along with Mechako and discovered various strange supernatural events. Together, they faced all kinds of ghosts and mysterious creatures while trying to keep the human world safe.
